Dreaming of a White... New Year?

So, our Christmas snow came a little later than we had hoped... but we will take it! We celebrated our White New Year with snow, ice and temperatures between 0 and 17. It was the first taste of winter since moving to North Carolina and we are anxious to see what else the season has in store.

Don't you love it?! It's so exciting for us southern California girls! =) However, I have to say that I am starting to get tired of snow on the ground now. At first, it is so beautiful, but after days and weeks of sitting in the street and not melting, or sitting in the backyard (and being peed on by the dogs), it gets pretty gross... I'm ready for this "old" batch of snow to MELT! I'm also ready for some warmer temperatures... this morning it was 42 degrees and I was so excited because it was actually WARM! (Never thought I'd consider 42 degrees warm!) Maybe some of this yucky snow will melt just in time to get the new batch that they say may come early next week...
